Resorts Certified as “Famille Plus Montagne”

Resorts bearing the "Famille Plus" label commit to families and children by ensuring a warm welcome and successful vacations.

Les Orres

Certified as family-friendly, this resort offers plenty of activities for kids! There’s a carousel on Place Hodoul, two daycare centers, two snow gardens, a dedicated kids' club, an ice garden, and even an ice rink. Children will have a blast both on and off the slopes!

For family fun, try the Orrian Express toboggan run!
The 710-meter downhill track features hairpin turns, wave zones, and three 360° spins—all with stunning views.

Orcières

Orcières boasts a nursery, daycare, a snow garden, sledding runs, playgrounds, dog sledding, and even Europe’s longest zipline—truly a snowy paradise for families!

Children as young as 18 months can experience snow through Baby Snow, which helps them become familiar with snow and skiing.
The resort’s snow garden spans 2 hectares and is equipped with mini-ski lifts, conveyor belts, snow cannons, shaped trails, and attentive instructors.

During off-peak school periods, Orcières offers a “Schoolbag on the Snow” program for children in grades 1 to 5. This allows them to alternate between mornings of classroom lessons and afternoons on the slopes with ski instructors from either the ESF or ESI ski schools.

Val d’Allos

At Val d’Allos, kids can learn to ski playfully at its club, which features a private snow stadium, snow conveyors, and a learning carpet, plus fun breaks and snack times.

Family-friendly learning and discovery areas are also available for free.

Pra Loup

This is a great resort for first-timers! Children under five ski for free, and the beginner area at Clapiers is also free of charge. During school holidays, lantern-lit descents are held every Wednesday with the ESF and every Thursday with the ESI.

Pra Loup also offers fun zones like Kid Park and Sanowpark.
A family game room, open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., provides coloring books, drawings, board games, and a library in the Tourism Office hall.

Sauze-Super Sauze

Certified as family-friendly, this resort caters to kids with its daycare, play areas, ski and snowshoe trails, sledding runs, mini-skis, and a variety of winter activities that parents will also appreciate.

We particularly love the Piste C, designed for families. Winding through the woods, it features six educational panels where Valentin the Ibex teaches mountain safety and skiing rules in an eco-friendly and fun way.

Valberg

Located in the Alpes-Maritimes, Valberg is also "Famille Plus" certified. In addition to its Piou Piou Club, the resort offers kids activities like swimming, sledding, pony rides, playgrounds, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing—making it a very family-friendly destination.

Family-Friendly Resorts Without Certification

Chabanon Selonnet

This charming, family-oriented resort in the Southern Alps features a Lutin Daycare, a Piou-Piou Club, and a play area for young children to enjoy snow games in a safe environment. A sledding run adds to the fun!

Risoul

Risoul and its White Forest Ski Area are a family favorite! The large ski area includes a beginner zone for children to practice and have fun sledding with their families.

Pelvoux Vallouise

Located in the Pays des Écrins, this village resort offers a human-scale paradise for nature lovers. At the foot of the station, a beginner area awaits families. The Essarts Sector in the valley provides an ideal space for learning to ski, with a small practice lift and beginner slopes.

The resort also includes a snow garden for children, a sledding area open until 8 p.m., and family-friendly activities like an igloo village open daily from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
