Our chocolate selection: 5 chocolatiers to melt our hearts for Easter 2026 in Marseille

For this Easter weekend, we are lucky in Marseille: we have two true chocolatiers who produce their own chocolate from beans they grow themselves or carefully select from around the world.

This technique differs from that adopted by the vast majority of chocolatiers who work from already processed chocolates that they buy, which prevents them from making their own chocolate directly from the bean.

Terrakoa: A direct travel to Madagascar

It is the culmination of a 15-year friendship that has become an ambitious project: to offer "Bean-to-Bar" chocolate, from the plant to the bar. Terrakoa grows its own cocoa in Madagascar to transform it directly in its new workshop-store on Rue Sainte.

Here, traceability is total and the taste uncompromising. For Easter, their bars and molds tell the story of a distant terroir enhanced by Marseilles know-how. A raw and authentic experience that will delight lovers of intense flavors.

For Easter, several creations are offered, including these pretty little lemurs or these giant cocoa beans filled with praline.

La Baleine à Cabosse: A world tour in 16 creations

True explorers of taste, the artisans of La Baleine à Cabosse work with 14 producers around the globe (Peru, Mexico, Vietnam, Uganda...). Their secret? Exceptional beans, sometimes sourced from wild forests in Colombia, and a complete absence of additives or colorants.

For Easter 2026, La Baleine à Cabosse offers a collection of 16 exclusive creations with delicious bars filled with homemade praline (almonds or pistachios), chocolate eggs, and a lovely bestiary of animals.

Note: In addition to their sales point in Marseille (Rue Paradis), a new, even more specialized address will open in September at Place Général de Gaulle.

Chocolaterie Takomi

This artisanal chocolatier in the center of Marseille takes us to Japan with truly original creations. This year, we forget the hens, rabbits, and other farm animals. It's time for foxes, bear cubs, lions, and even coconut crabs. And if we really want classics, they will be revisited in a very artistic and modern way, like an origami egg with a thousand facets.

La Chocolaterie Puyricard

It is the must-visit chocolatier in the Pays d'Aix, now with three shops in Marseille. Easter is certainly a highlight for this institution that competes each year in creativity to offer new creations. We are thus tempted by these cute little lambs that are truly to be devoured! ...in the most literal sense. Puyricard also offers enchanted unicorns, adorable little cats, and even mischievous rabbits. The hardest part remains making a choice.

Anne-Lise Signouret

Established in the Bompard district since 2022, the Gap-based chocolatier shows true creativity for this Easter with an original collection inspired by the world of dinosaurs. Anne-Lise Sigouret also offers her classics for Easter: Rabbits, eggs, bells, and other golden egg-laying hens. Always so appetizing!

La Chocolatière de Marseille: The icon of Rue Vacon

Located between the Old Port, Le Panier, and the Prefecture, La Chocolatière de Marseille is a must-stop for those seeking pure and unadulterated craftsmanship.

The house is world-renowned for its specialty: "La Barre Marseillaise". This exceptional praline stands out for its unique recipe, made without butter or cream, prioritizing the intensity of dried fruit and cocoa. For Easter, it is the ideal address to rediscover chocolate in its noblest and lightest form.

Where? 35 Rue Vacon, 13001 Marseille.

When? From Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (non-stop)
